Mash-ups
My favourite of the new mash-ups is Twitter Grader. Here is its purpose defined "Evaluates your Twitter profile and provides an overall standing and graded rating of your status in the Twittersphere." A tool designed for the time waster, the narcissist, the pathetic.

My comments on the best and the worst of the 7 1/2 life long learning steps:
The best - teaching/mentoring. When you're teaching someone else it forces you to order your thoughts, be familiar with your subject and justify your views. This scrutiny is good for finding and fixing flaws in your processes and it makes you more confident.
The worst - use technology. Just a lack of personal interest here. I don't rush out and get the latest techno gadget, I couldn't care less plus the thought of working out how to use things causes instant recoil. Programming a video - noOOO! Programming a PVR (or whatever they're called), no thanks.
